We just want to wish everyone a merry christmas. I hope you all have a wonderful week.
also a quick update on Lexi and the milk. We switched her to the lactose and milk free formula and within one day we could tell a difference. She was much happier the next day. She got better and better throughout the week and is now back to her happy self...except when she is tired:) She is still clingy...but I think that is more of a "I'm a princess and I want ALL of your attention ALL of the time" kinda thing:)
Before, even if I held her she wasn't happy. She was always fussy and horrible. Now she is clingy but HAPPY. she will even crawl away and play on her own sometimes. And her sleeping has gotten better all week too. She was getting up between 5 & 6 times a night but after about 2 nights she was down to just once a night and the last 2 nights she has gone back to sleeping ALL NIGHT again!!! Last night was the best she has slept in months...and she had/has a tooth coming in!! Just proves that it was never the teething, just that dang Boughton milk allergy...thanx alot dad!!
Hip Hip Hooray, our Lexi is back! It's the best christmas present Peter and I could ask for!!!

Old family pictures.
Posting our new family pics made me want to put our old ones on here. These were taken fall of 2006. Hadley was 5 and Devin was 2. I LOVE these pictures. These were the first proffesional pics we ever had done and he did such a good job that a very high standard has been set. I will compare every picture we ever get done to these. I wish lexi was in them so we could just keep these ones. Maybe we could put her in the appropriate colors and get him to photoshop her in:)

Just realized.
I just realized something as I was checking the changes on my blog.
Whenever we go somewhere and it's time to leave, when we call for Hadley and Devin we do it to the chipmunks theme song...hadley, devin...theodore da da dadada...did that tune come across ok:)
anyway, we always said that our third kid would have to have 3 syllables in their name to complete the song, instead of saying Theodore. I just realized that Alexia is 3 syllables:)
Hadley, Devin...Alexia da da dadada!:)
After futher inspection...I just realized this is my 150th post. I will be accepting gifts and well wishes throughout the week:)

School pictures.
These are the kids school pictures from this year. I am not thrilled with Hadley's but since we are going to get nice one's taken for his baptism it's ok. I hate when they change the background. Last year it was a really blue background so when he wanted to wear the gray shirt I thought it would be fine...little did I know they were doing a gray background this year so he ended up looked really pale and sickly:)

Family Pics.
When we were on our vacation, we hired a photographer to take a family picture. We wanted one on the beach. We thought we would do it in the evening when the sun was starting to go down, but they insisted high noon would be best because the sun would be directly overhead and we wouldn't have shadows...whatever. It was HOT. And it was bright. We had a hard time finding pictures because someone was squinting in almost every one. Devin was the worst, he would do this nose scrunching- eye squinting face in every picture. we finally had to just pick one where it wasn't too bad. She took 166 pictures and there were only 2 that we felt turned out ok enough to pay money to get printed, one is at the top of our blog, the other we used for christmas cards. I did buy the cd so I had memory of the othe 164 pics that weren't so great.
Most of these are just different positions and locations she tried us in. Some aren't too bad we just really wanted the whole pier in the background which is why we chose the one we did.

Family pics.
My handsome boys

Devin, mr. cool, walking down the beach

as you can see he quickly got into it and had a blast.

This is us under the pier. The waves were crazy and towards the end they started coming all the way up to our waists...the kids chests. It was hard to get a good pic cuz Devin was terrified he was going to get washed out to sea and Hadley thought it was so fun/funny. The other thing that bother's me about these pictures is that the photographer put me about a foot in front of Peter. You can't tell in the pic that I am that far ahead of him so that and the fact that he is leaning against the pole, it just looks like I am taller than him. Which may not seem like a big deal to most but for someone who was self-conscience most of her life about being almost 6ft tall...it's a big deal:)

This is probably the best one we got under there, we used it for our christmas cards this year.

She tried to get a close up of us, besides the fact that we look a little haggard from the wind, I thought it was a cute picture. Lexi kept taking her bow out the whole photo shoot so at first it was in all cute, but by the 3rd picture we were just shoving it back on her head any way we could no matter what her hair looked like.

The photographer wanted to try and get some shots of us just playing. Peter didn't hear her and just stood there with his arms folded the whole time so it didn't work very well.
Hadley didn't believe he was allowed to go in the water with his picture clothes on! He was sure he was going to get in trouble and was very hesitant at first.

Last of the vacation.
This was our last night in Oceanside, CA. We packed and then went and ate dinner at a fish'n'chips place in the harbor. it was a fun last night...well, as fun as the last night of a vacation can be:)

We stayed in Vegas on the way home, we stayed at Exalibur and took the kids to the Tournament of Kings dinner show. It was so much fun. There were no camera's allowed during the show cuz of the horses so I didn't get pics but it was so much fun. The kids thought it was so fun to eat with your hands and yell and pound the tables and watch horses and fighting. We will definetely go to that show again!

This was the guy who played the Dragon. We were in his cheering section so he came over after the show.

Don't ask me why Devin looks so angry:)

Lexi loved the horse...she LOVES animals, it's so cute to watch her when she see's one.

We went over to the Bellagio. These are just some random pics.

We had lots of fun in Vegas. We spent most of Saturday there and were supposed to head home sunday morning but got sucked into a timeshare presentation and didn't get on the road til late afternoon. The worst part...we bought the timeshare:) just kidding, well, not just kidding, we did buy it, I mean about it being the worst part. We are really excited about it. We have been to several timeshare presentations and there were always things we didn't like about them but we couldn't pass this one up. We get 6 weeks a year...6! and 2 of them are rollover weeks that we never lose. one of our weeks is memorial day week and we always get that holiday or can trade for another holiday. The other weeks we can take whenever and wherever. Vegas is a hotspot so it has a lot of trading power so we can either go to vegas or we can swap for anywhere in the world for less than $100/week. We can also trade in for cruises and all kinds of stuff. We are super excited to start using it. We are probably going to rent out all 6 weeks for the first couple years and let it pay for itself then start using it. So, if you ever want to go on vacation, give us a call and we will hook you up with a good deal on a place to stay:)

On the way home we discovered that Lexi can use a straw:) This is Hadley sharing his milkshake with her. That drive home was horrible. She decided at that point that she had absolutely HAD IT with being in the car so much the last week. She started screaming in St.George. We thought she would cry for a bit and then go to sleep but nope..she screamed from St.George to Provo...and I am not exaggerating. It was torture!! The poor kids were trying to watch a movie but couldn't hear it over her. And ever since, she hates the car. It doesn't matter if we are driving 5 minutes to the grocery store...she cries the whole way. I don't think we will be driving anywhere with her for a long time.

more Legoland pics.
Enjoying the only ride we could all do. Lexi was too little and I have major motion sickness...yes, even on little kid rides so I am the designated stroller/bag watcher...they should sell stroller watcher tickets that are like half-price, you just have to wear a bracelet or something so they know not to let you on rides cuz I hate paying full price when I don't do anything.

Lexi just hanging out in her stroller.

Devin driving his car around the track. He got frustrated cuz he couldn't make it go faster...and he was trying to hit the other kids...definetely got a utah driver on our hands:) They had another track for 7 and older where they had to actually stop at lights and signs and it was a disaster. All of us parents were laughing so hard, they were horrible drivers. running lights and driving on the wrong side of the road, I mean, does he not pay attention at all when I drive?! I don't have any pics cuz if I remember correctly, this was the day I forgot to charge the camera battery and we didn't have alot of charge left so we only took like 1/4 of the pics we took at seaworld...your welcome;)

Legoland 08.
Well, it's only 3 months later and I am finally getting the rest of our vacation on here. These are some pics from our day at Legoland. We love it there. Its all rides geared toward younger kids and our boys love lego's so they love it. There are statues and cities and pretty much everything is built out of lego's. Peter has a blast in the store. they have bulk bins of lego's that you can just scoop whatever you want into bags and pay by the pound. they have all sorts of lego's you can't get anywhere but there.

The park is divided into sections, each section has food and rides and stores and what not that have to do with that theme. these are in the castle section...our favorite. you can't see very well but the dragon is made out of lego's

If only I had one of these at home.
Hadley was taking a break and doing a younger kid ride with Devin. You just sit on the jousting horses and they take you around a track. This was him coming around the corner.
This is Devin coming around the corner...he was hot and tired:)
We were waiting around the other side of the ride where we could see better. Lexi was getting bored watching the horses go by until she realized she knew the kid on the next horse. Peter snapped this picture of her as she saw Hadley coming around the corner.
They have Lego "pit-stops" all around the park where parents can sit and rest while the kids play with lego's.
Just a few thoughts.
Well, I am determined to get caught up on blogging in the next couple weeks. I have decided that when I get my blog book made, I want to do it by year, ya know a 2008 book, 09 book etc... so that means I gotta get all my unfinished blogs done and finish christmas shopping and eventually wrap all the christmas stuff, no pressure:)
I discovered something today that I am not very happy about...more gray hair! Come on people, I am twenty-fricken-nine years old...not 39, why on earth is my hair going gray?! Luckily most of it is in the under-layers of my hair so other people don't notice it, but I know it's there. Maybe I shouldn't have wished that people would quit telling me I look so young:) my one consolation is...peter has alot too:)...he will deny it, but he does!
We are testing a new theory with Lexi. I think she has some sort of milk allergy. we all know it runs in my family like crazy. I have almost died 3 times in my life from it. Hadley gets breathing problems when he has it, my Dad has major problems too. Anyway, I know that I have heard somewhere that sometimes it can have an effect on personality, rather than breathing problems or whatever. Lexi used to be the most cheerfull baby. She was always happy, never cried, slept all night etc... we used to joke that she was our reward for surviving the boys. But, about 2.5/3 months ago she started getting really irritable and fussy, we attributed it to teething. But she has gotten worse and worse and there are no teeth coming in. She is the fussiest, most clingy irritable baby ever...her evil twin has come to live with us!!:)
We took her in for her 1 year check up last week and she has dropped from the 45% to the 10% in weight. The dr. says a little drop is normal when they get mobile but not that big of one. So that, plus the fussiness...we think there may be something wrong. I have been praying that we would figure it out cuz I can't take seeing her like this...and, well, I just can't take it period:) Today I was just sitting with her and the milk allergy thing just popped into my head. I googled it(i love google!) and the symptoms in babies can include being really fussy and irritable. and a slow in growth cuz they aren't absorbing the nutrients they need from it. I started thinking about it and about 2.5/3 months ago is when she quit nursing and we put her on formula...lightbulb moment!:) So, I went to the store tonight and got her milk free, lactose free soy-based formula...I am praying that this is the problem and that we will get our sweet Lexi back soon!!
