Week Two.

Can you believe this happened in one week?? actually less than a week cuz they didn't start the framing until thursday afternoon..and they finished today! Crazy! This next week all the plumbing and electrical goes in and we have our halfway poing walkthru.

I didn't get a picture of the back cuz we took these on our way to pack meeting and we were running late. I went back but it was too dark and the picture didn't turn out.

I got my tickets.

so excited. his music is my absolute favorite! nothing brightens my day like hearing a little MJ! and I am excited to be going with Andrea...there isn't a more appropriate person, seeing how he was the soundtrack to our college road trip, and who we danced to on our front porch, and who we hounded the DJ's at the Rick's College dances to please please please play! Whenever I hear Michael...I think of her.

Week one.

Technically they started our house exactly 3 weeks ago today. but I am planning on taking a week by week picture of the progress and I am dubbing this my official 1st week photo. the foundation is all done and they backfilled all the dirt in and poured the concrete for the garage floor and stuff. So I thought this was a good starting point picture.

The zoo.

Last Saturday we had a free afternoon so we took the kids to the zoo.
it was really crowded but we had fun. there is a brand new baby elephant there and a baby giraffe...they were sooo cute. especially the elephant!!

the baby was out in the middle of the pen playing...until I got out my camera.

The bears were actually out too. We have been to the zoo many times and this is the first time we have seen them out. probably because it's starting to cool down now.

ready for school.

Lexi has been watching the boys leaving for school every day for a few weeks now. So apparently she has it all figured out and got ready to go the other day.

and on a side note, the cheesy grin in the top picture..that is what she does as soon as she see's the camera. she totally smiles and poses. which makes the following story so frustrating. I took her over to the school when they were doing school pics to get her's done. she was absolutely terrified of the whole thing. shaking like a leaf and hanging onto me for dear life, I couldn't even pry her off of me to try and get her to sit on the stool. it was really frustrating. so, I guess no picture of lexi this year:(...she did the same thing at the dr. a couple weeks ago. I don't understand her. sometimes she is so cute and will just wave and say hi to random people on the sidewalk...and sometimes she is scared to death of everyone and everything!?

We have a foundation!

Yesterday they poured the foundation. I went over tonight and they had taken all the support walls down that were holding the concrete while it dried.

they had also cut out the basement window holes and put the window wells on.

I just noticed tonight that there was something on my camera lens...and so all my pictures have a blurry spot in the middle...guess that's why people don't pay me to take pictures!

They Started!!

The best part of the trip to Boise, except seeing Kim:), was getting a picture text from some friends showing that they had FINALLY started our house!!! We got home on Saturday the 5th and found this big hole on our lot:) (the big block of dirt still there is where the garage will sit.)



There is a HUGE pile of dirt now behind our lot..seriously huge! of course the first thing the boys did was run for the dirt.

And when I say "boys"...I mean all of them:)

Then we went by 2 days ago and they had started pouring concrete for the foundation...Yay!!

We are SO excited. I am really sick of living out of boxes and not feeling like we are settled anywhere. Be prepared for alot of house pics over the next couple months:) I plan on going once a week and taking a pic so I can have a week by week picture of the progress. Sorry to all our future neighbors who are stuck with our contruction for the next few months, just remember, it will be worth it in the end cuz you get us for neighbors!!!:)

Boise.

A few months ago Peter decided that he wanted to start going to some BSU games once in a while. We went ahead and booked our hotel, and got a screaming deal cuz the hotel apparently hadn't yet realized there was a huge game that week:) I couldn't care less about the game, but I am always up for a trip to Boise to see my bestest friend Kim!!!

We were starting to worry because as of 2 days before the game, Peter still hadn't managed to get tickets. I don't know why but apparently this was a really big game...whatever:) so tickets went really fast. He had planned on taking Hadley but tickets were just too hard to come by so he went alone, after he managed to find a ticket on ebay the day before we left.

I think he had a lot of fun. Our Bronco's won. I think he was a little torn because he grew up in Oregon and was a Duck's fan...but he went to BSU. With the time and tuition we gave that place he better be a fan!!:) When I picked him up after the game he could hardly talk he was so hoarse...guess that means he had fun.

Just Chillin.

The other day I couldn't find Lexi. Peter informed me that she was in the garage. I went out there and she was just sitting in our little cooler. For some reason she is always doing stuff like this. I constantly find her pulling pans and bowls out of the cupboards and sitting in them.

"Allergies" is a 4 letter word!

So, I never really had allergies growing up. I worked on farm for 8 years and never had a problem. Then when I got preggers with Hadley I got allergies really bad. but they only lasted during the pregnancy. but, after the 2nd kid they stuck around. they have gotten progressively worse every year with this year being pure torture!


My eyes are itchy and red and swollen, I have had 2 episodes this summer of them swelling completely shut. my ears itch, my nose itches, my throat itches. I was taking 3 different allergy meds, a pill, a nasal spray and an eyedrop and they were doing nothing...or so I thought.

This summer I reached my breaking point with the whole thing and made an appointment with an allergist. I had to have all allergy meds out of my system for 5 days before the testing. there is no other way to describe it other than torture. I discovered the meds were indeed helping. since being off them all the above symptoms have been magnified by 20. then I have been sneezing non-stop. I itch EVERYWHERE. I keep breaking out in hives all over my head, on my face...I woke up on sunday and felt like Will Smith in Hitch cuz my ear was all swollen.


I finally had my appointment today. They did a skin test and just ran a standard one where they test the most common allergens in our area. they did 65 different allergens and I reacted to EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! Many of my reactions (mostly to weeds) were a 4plus reaction...the biggest...bigger even that their "control" test which is supposed to be the worst.
they said I have some of the most severe allergies they have ever seen. And I am only one of 2 people they have seen to react to every single prick. I should get a plaque!!:)


so, they put me on 6 different prescriptions. (my friend Doug says I should just live in a bubble)I am supposed to take them all for now to get me thru the bad weed season then I can play around with them and see what works for me. They also put me on steroids for a week so I could get some quicker relief. he said my body is just so inflammed and irrated that it needs some help to calm down. He says I will feel amazing by the end of the week, a whole new person. I guess the allergies have taken quite the toll on me, I have been so miserable and tired and just felt drained all summer..I am looking forward to feeling good!! I told him if it works I would love him forever!! sorry dear:)





oh yeah...I reacted pretty bad to the rat serum...I gotta figure out a way to tell Hadley the rats have to go:(

Thirty.

ahhh, I have been waiting for this day for 30 years!! I am finally 30:) (well, yesterday was my actual birthday) hip hip hooray!!! I know, some of you may be thinking I need to be mentally evaluated, but I really have wanted to be thirty for as long as I can remember...now 31 I am not looking forward to. I may have a meltdown that day. I would be happy to just freeze at 30 forever.


Being a kid is rough, being a teenager just sucks! being an older teen, young twenty something is confusing. you get married and have babies and finally start to come into your own. start realizing you have spent most of your life trying to please other people like parents, teachers etc etc... So you spend your mid-twenties trying to figure out who YOU really are. you get into your late twenties, and if you are lucky, you have gotten the hang of life. you have figured out who you are and what you like. you stop caring about what other people think. you learn to just let go of the people and things in your life that lets face it...just weren't worth it! you take control of your life! and, at least in my case, you go thru enough crap that you really feel like an adult...yet nobody seems to take you seriously cuz you are "so young"
well folks, I now have the digits to prove that I am an adult (something I have known for a long time) but now the world has to acknowledge it!!!!
