Rough day.

Poor Lexi is still teething, and she is miserable. We are alternating the tylenol and advil every two hours but she is just not happy. Her two front teeth came in a couple weeks ago and now the two next to those are coming in. Yesterday they were actually bleeding. She is so clingy and sad. I get nothing done during the day cuz she want's to be held all day. I am pretty good at getting stuff done with one hand but I have my limitations. So, here I am on what is supposed to be my blogging night trying to catch up. Wednesday's are the day I clean my kitchen so I am running around mopping and washing rugs and scrubbing cupboard doors and cleaning out the microwave while pictures upload:) I am finally done, but now I have to get a shower(finally) and fold some laundry. This is my last post I promise!:) My memory card is full so I had to get a bunch done so I can transfer my pics to a cd and make room for more:)

She wanted me to hold her and at that moment, I just couldn't so I told her "just a minute". She threw herself on the floor face down and was screaming into the floor....it was actually kinda funny. Hopefully not a look ahead into the terrible 2/3's!!

This time she was on the floor in the living room and I offered to hold her but she was mad at me for not holding her earlier and wouldn't look at me...she kept turning her head to the side when I tried to talk to her.

awww, look at the sad, miserable face. you would think I had been ignoring her all day...not two minutes!!

Finger's crossed that no more teeth will come in for a while. We BOTH need a break from this.

She has a new favorite toy. A whistle:(. She has figured out how to blow it and she just keeps in her mouth while she crawls around. it's very cute...at first.

It's funny to listen to cuz you can tell when she is crawling fast cuz the whistling get's faster as she breathes faster.

She get's sick of me following her with the camera:) this is her crawling away from me...with the whistle going full speed.

She was on Dad's lap the other night and decided to crawl up on the table and start playing with the clicker. Peter was very proud cuz she changed it to football. I told him it was an accident but he wouldn't listen.

She has figured out how to get up and down the couches...and as you can tell, she is very proud of herself.

This is her new favorite thing to do...pull out all the movies. As soon as you put them away, she pulls them all out again. You would think I would learn to just leave them out...guess that's the neat freak in me that is such a glutton for punishment:)

Turkey Day weekend.

Well, we had a good weekend. Peter had a 4 day weekend. Thursday we went to his parent's house for dinner. Friday we got out the tree, we also had movie night...in the holiday spirit...Home Alone:). On Saturday we did our own Thanksgiving dinner (you don't get leftovers when you go to other people's houses) Peter deep fried our turkey, which he does every year and it's sooo yummy. I made the rest of the dinner and we all stuffed our faces...again! It was a good weekend and we enjoyed having daddy home, we better savor it cuz he has to work Christmas Eve AND Christmas this year:(

I got my mil's recipe for potato rolls and took a stab at it...I was proud of my first attempt at bread of any kind!:)

This year we added a penguin to our santa blow-up. Lexi is scared of them both.

All done...and no snow:( It's December in UTAH and we don't have any snow yet. In fact it got up to almost 60 on the 1st. I had all the windows open and it felt more like mid-october. We want the snow and cold!!! I suffered thru the stupid summer...bring me my cold weather!!

I just had to put this picture of Lexi a couple sunday's ago in the dress grandma gave her for her birthday. When we put her in this she seemed to transform from a baby to a little girl. She is so adorable!!;)

What mom?! I'm just sharing with my best friend! Lexi loves this dog, and the dog loves her. Shelby just sits under her highchair at meals and Lexi will eat a bite with one hand while the other hand is sneaking down under the tray to give Shelby some.

Shelby rolled in poop the other day...as she often does. So, darling Peter took it upon himself to give her a bath.

Somebody please save me!!

All Clean! Peter used his Old Spice body wash to bathe her. Now, when a human uses it, it just leaves a nice fresh scent. But, when a dog uses it, it soaks into the fur and smells very strongly. for several days after this bath you could tell when Shelby was coming cuz you could smell the Old Spice body wash!

Green is good.

Lexi is such a big girl. She can now go up AND down the stairs. She starts about 3 feet away from the top stair and then puts her leg out and scoots towards the stairs.

Still has to have supervision cuz let's face it...it would look bad if I had a kid in a cast AND a kid with a black eye:)

Our View

I went out on the deck tonight to plug in the christmas lights. As I looked around I thought that we have good views from our deck. I looked out towards the west and caught the sunset.

Then, I looked to the north and, as I always am, was impressed with our view from that side too. We didn't always have this un-obstructed view of the mt.timpanogas temple but our neighbor accross the street cut down the perfect tree this summer. We went from only being able to see only the angel Moroni...to this!

Too bad our house has too many stairs for my bum knee...and there are no people our age in this neighborhood :)..this view of the temple isn't something you get everyday. I love to sit out on the deck at night with Peter and look at it while we chat about life... this is probably what I will miss the most about this house.

Score!

So, I went to Walmart this afternoon while the boys were at school. There were a couple toys I had wanted to get the day after Thanksgiving...but I refused to get up early and go get them:) So we went out around 11am that day and they had nothing left.
Anyway, I went today and they were restocking the shelves and they had everything I wanted from friday...and they were still ringing up the friday sales price!!!
So, neaner neaner to all those people who got up at 4am and stood out in the cold and fought the crowds:) I Rule!
