4th of July

Well, the boys are outside(actually not trying to kill each other) and lexi is sleeping so maybe I can get a post in. I am gonna take it all the way back to the 4th of July, if i can even remember what we did, it seems like so long ago!
Well, for the first time ever Peter had the whole weekend off..usually he doesn't even get the 4th off so this was a nice treat. We started the day in Park City doing some school shopping then headed home. We were supposed to do a fire and the boys were going to "camp" in the backyard with dad. When we got home though, we discovered a last minute bbq had been thrown together at grandma's house so we decided to do the camping the next nite.

After the bbq we headed over to Pleasant Grove Jr. High (about 5 minutes from us) for the big firework show. The kids had fun throwing a football with dad and Lexi thought the glow sticks were the coolest thing ever!

We are horrible parent's and this is the first "real" fireworks our kids had ever seen, they were completely mesmerized. Lexi was scared at first but quickly settled down and happily watched from the safety of dad's lap.
