Don't eat yellow snow.

We got quite the snow storm this weekend...totally awesome!! and I think it's here to stay since the high's are now in the 30's. Lexi doesn't remember snow from last year so she is rediscovering it. she loves to eat it:)

Silly Deviners.

He thought it was soooo funny to put lexi's hat and mitten's on.

Stop ignoring me!

Last Sunday I was making dinner. Lexi had been hanging on my leg and calling my name and crying and just wanted me to hold her. I kept telling her "just a minute" and to hang on. well, she got sick of waiting for me to pick her up so she drug a chair over, climbed up on it and put her arms around my waist. so stinking cute! of course, I held her after that. A good reminder to always take time for your kids...they aren't going to want you to hold them forever!

after I held her, I put the chair away and she got her blanket and laid by my feet while I finished dinner.

Jazz.

My friend Mandi had tickets to the Jazz game last night. Her hubby was out hunting and wasn't going to make it back in time and Peter was at work til 11pm...so we figured we would go together!
I married into a Laker family, and rooting against the Jazz has been ingrained in me, but it was still fun. I spent most of the game watching the Jazz bear do stupid stuff and zooming my camera in on Kyle Korver:)
We went out to dinner, ate icecream and just had a fun time. thanx for inviting me Mandi!!

I took a bunch of pictures, including some of us at the game but I had my camera dial in the wrong position and when I switched it to the right one, it deleted all the pics I had taken. so all I have left is this picture of Kyle..you can kinda see him. in the suit behind andre...he had knee surgery so he didn't play.

Week 7.

We are almost done! We have our final walk thru on the 19th and we are closing on the 25th!

close up of the kitchen. I LOVE my cabinets...just ignore the ugly counters:) We wanted granite but to upgrade with the builder was $15k! we figured we could find it cheaper on our own later so we just had them put in the laminate that comes standard. I can't wait to get the granite in tho, it will really make the cabinets pop.

my cute stair rail going from the top floor to the main floor.

The back patio. they got the stairs on this week.

Halloween.

This is a poster that somebody had hanging on their door. I thought it was kinda funny so I had to take a picture:) I thought it was a little strange too...if they don't want trick-or-treaters, why can't they just sit in the dark and mute the t.v. when the doorbell rings like my dad did growing up:)

I bought Lexi a dog costume but she was terrified of it. Every time I put the hood on she screamed and clawed at it trying to get it off. she is going thru quite the scaredy cat phase right now! So, we just pulled out the princess dress from last year and she wore it again. Devin was GI Joe and Hadley said he wanted to be something scary this year...so he picked some skeleton thingy.

Lexi actually trick-or treated this year. she thought it was just fantastic that people were giving her candy! And she didn't have a pumpkin bucket like the boys so we had to improvise and use her little pink block bucket.

Gardner Village.

The kids didn't have school the thursday or friday before Halloween so we went with some friends to Gardner Village. The weatherman said it was supposed to be a nice day in the 60's...it was freezing!!
we had fun looking at all the Halloween decorations and talked about going back without the kids so we could actually go into the stores...we didn't think they would appreciate us bringing 10 kids thru their stores:)
The kids got too cold pretty quick so we ended up at McDonalds for a couple hours. It was lots of fun tho.

I couldn't resist this picture. they all (minus megan and lexi) leaned over to look at the ducks.

First snow.

We got our first snow of the year this last week. the boys had a blast in it. making forts and having snowball fights. Of course it was all gone 2 days later. and here we are today with the windows open and ceiling fans back on "summer"...gotta love fall in Utah!!!
